Functional Skills
The Talent for Care team can support you to obtain your Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications in Functional Skills for Maths and English.
The Functional Skills course equips learners with essential skills that are useful in everyday life, and are often needed as entry requirements for further learning and internal opportunities.
What national qualification can you gain?

Functional Skills Level 1 qualification
This is equivalent to:
- a GCSE at grades D-G/3-1
- Key Skills Level 1.

Functional Skill Level 2 qualification
This is equivalent to:
- A GCSE at grades A*-C/9-4.
- Key Skills Level 2.
Each learner will be required to undergo diagnostic assessments with the education provider to ensure that they receive the right levels of support.
