What are T Levels?
T Levels are a technical alternative to A Level qualifications; with 1 T Level being equivalent to 3 A Level qualifications. They focus on industry specific learning, to prepare young people for the work environment in a particular field.
They are open to school leavers, aged between 16 and 19, who would like to get hands on experience and progress towards a career.
Students studying their T-Levels will split their time between learning at college, and being on placement within an organisation.
How can Talent for Care support T Levels?
We plan to offer school leavers who are studying towards their T Level, placements within the Trust to support the practical-based requirements for their qualification.
These will be available in our Corporate, Learning Disability and Autism, and Community Health and Wellbeing Services. Please note that in our patient facing settings, we will only be offering T Level placements to those who over the age of 18.
The Talent for Care team are very eager to work alongside colleges and other educational institutions in our local community of Coventry and Warwickshire to facilitate T Level placements, as a part of commitment to widening participation.
If you work for a school or college and would like us to support your T Level placement, please contact us at work.experience@covwarkpt.nhs.uk.
